LARGE BAR PAN IDEAS AND USES Provided by: Alecia Beckham, Independent Consultant with The Pampered Chef pamperedchef.biz/beckham1972 Breakfast~ Pancakes. Pour your batter into the bar pan and bake for 350* for 15-20 minutes. You will have a huge pancake that you can then cut into squares. You can even have your kids then use the Creative Cutters to let your kids make their own shapes. If you want to you can add fruit such as blueberries, strawberries, thinly sliced apple slices or even chocolate chips and walnuts! Waffles. Easy, Easy, Easy, prepare them, lay them in the Bar Pan and bake as above. Bacon. Lay a lb. Of bacon strips into the Bar Pan and slide into a 400* oven for 15-20 minutes and not only will the bacon be cooked, it wont shrivel up to nothing. Sausages: Lay on Bar pan and cook until complete done at 375 degrees. Biscuits: Any Pillsbury type canned biscuits or homemade biscuits cook up golden brown and evenly cooked. **When making breakfast, once biscuits or sausages are cooked, remove from Bar Pan and break 4-8 eggs and bake for 10-15 min or until done for perfect fried eggs. Lunchtime~ Toasted Cheese Sandwiches. Prepare 6 sandwiches just like if you were making Grilled Cheese. Place them in the Bar Pan and bake for 350* for 15-20 minutes. Whatever is happening on a Bar Pan on the top, is happening on the bottom, so you will not need to flip. By the time the Campbells Soup is ready to serve, the sandwiches are ready to eat. Get creative with these sandwiches…add tomato slices, turkey, BBQ sauce, red onion slice…yum! Pizza Pull Aparts. Pour Spaghetti sauce on the bottom of the bar pan, sprinkle on some mozzarella cheese and then layer on Pillsbury Buttermilk Biscuits and bake for 350* for 10-15 minutes. Just flip them out onto a platter and enjoy. Mexican Pull Aparts. Pour Salsa sauce on the bottom of the bar pan, sprinkle on some cheddar cheese and then layer on Pillsbury Buttermilk Biscuits and bake for 350* for 10-15 minutes. Just flip them out onto a platter and enjoy. Grilled Hot Dogs. Slice hot dogs lengthwise and place inside down on Bar Pan. Cook at 400 degrees until cooked thoroughly. For a fun variation, slice onions and lay next to hot dogs for easy grilled onions w/ dogs. Or sprinkle with cheese 5 minutes before done. Frozen Foods: Chicken nuggets, tater tots, bagel bites, taquitos, fish sticks, etc…crispy and yummy! Dinner~ Follow any of the recipes on the Use and Care Card included in your baking stone box, or think outside the box! Chicken, Fish, Pork Chops, Salmon, Steaks, Veggie Burgers, most meats cook at 375-400 degrees. Roasted Veggies: Chop veggies (potatoes, peppers, squash, green beans, etc…) toss with olive oil, sprinkle on any seasonings or fresh crushed garlic, crushed pepper and bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 min. or until done. Pizza; either homemade and top with your choice or reheat and crisp left over pizza. Perfect everytime. Egg dishes; chop up any veggies such as peppers, onions, and sprinkle on well seasoned or greased bar pan. Add finely chopped ham, bacon or sausage. Whip 8-10 eggs and ½ milk and 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese together and pour over all. Bake at 350 until set. Dessert~ Cookies of every type, 2 boxes brownie mix, pumpkin bars, lemon bars and anything you can make in the oven. There is no limit. If you are looking for something different. Bake a cake in your Bar Pan. The surface is larger than for a 9x13 and it makes a perfect base if you decorate cakes. For extra fabulous brownies, bake as box directs. With Food Chopper, finely chop Heath or Skor candy bars into tiny pieces. As soon as brownies come out of the oven, sprinkle candy pieces over all generously. Serve with vanilla ice cream. Can also be done with Butterfingers, Andes Mints and Crunch Bars.
