LAST NIGHT, AT THE VENERABLE TALENTO BILINGUE DE HOUSTON, two new staffers were introduced to the public, Operations Mgr. Javier Perez, and new Arts outreach director Lupe Casares, filmmaker and renowned producer/director;...new Artisitic Director, longtime local filmmaker Baldemar Rodriguez,....most of the attendees expect new and bigger thngs from TBH, and as the ZEN Master said ...well see.......pictured are TBH Board President Saul Valentin, longtime arts and community activist Dorothy Caram; Richard Farias, Founder/CEO of ALCREJ, the American Latino Center for Research, Education and Justice...Harris County Treasurer Orlando Sanchez, and Baldemar, a little giddy over all the attention...LOTS of folks came out for this one, showing interest in keeping TBH open, active, and happenin....Good friend community organizer Durrel K. Douglas came out and we drank a few chelas....a new beginning for TBH? We all hope so....lots of folks held my 1836 Mexican cannonball, found behind TBH by the Buffalo Bayou, and it was a hit as well, living history, it lives on....
