LAZY DRONE, SO YOU ARE POOR? THINK, CREATE, WORK! Laziness has life, it grows on people, it begins with cobwebs and ends in iron chains! If mothers consider the pains of childbirth, they wont have children, If you consider shame, peoples opinion and initial rejection, you wont prosper or do anything! He who is not beaten by the rain nor the sun would be beaten to death by poverty! Scorn doesnt unsweeten the honey, that people deride you for starting little or doing the unprintable will not prevent you from succeeding! Great things have little beginnings. Start small and grow rich! A man who cannot task his mentality for financial dominion because he considers the peoples opinion will end up doing menial jobs in old age for sustenance and survival! Be focused, do something! Direction is so much more than speed, many people are going nowhere fast! Do what is right, not what is easy! Do what will bring wealth, not what will keep you alive! Initial comfort is an enemy of achievement, contentment is an enemy of self-improvement! Laziness fuels a life of maintenance where you dont have much, crave little and lack ambition. Many times, we allow laziness, that sloth, destiny destroyer and spiritual glue that glues a mans back firmly to his bed in the morning, freezes his mental capacity to create and imagine and keeps his hand from making money to destroy us. You wont go far in life If you are lazy! I laugh hysterically at lazy people who fail repeatedly to make a meaning of their lives here in Nigeria but think they will make a fortune If opportune to visit Europe or America. Hear this: A lizard in Nigeria will not become a crocodile in America. If you are lazy and blind to opportunities around you in Nigeria, you wont suddenly grow entrepreneural sight in Europe! The grass is not greener on the other side! This country you have written off as an impotent economic desert is a gold ore for some smart and ready-to-work foreign nationals. Let me shock you: My Lebanese friend in the UK told me that in Lebanon, there are only 2 career options for young high school leavers: Proceed to the University or travel to Nigeria to make money! In his words: There is money on every street in Nigeria, but Nigerians are too lazy to pick it!. I see Lebanese people making fortune from making soaps, bread tins extracted from junk roofing plates, plastic industries, pricey restaurants, sharwama and tea hubs, and employing lazy and thoughtless Nigerians to work for them and my heart bleeds! When you hear the tale of how big brand fast food outlets began, you should be inspired to make a meaning of your life. Most of them started small but grew big. They began by cooking and parking food for distribution in major offices! Start with what you have! I know an Ibo man who packs and sells food on his bike to artisans, factory workers and workshops during lunch time. He owns 2 houses now. Possess a ready mind to succeed. Be open to the possibilities around you. Don’t allow preconceived notions of making it elsewhere becloud your sense of economic judgment. I advised one gate man who I always give money whenever I visit in an estate of over 30 flats with car owners to wake up early each morning to clean the cars of the tenants! He was reluctant at first but followed my advice. Initially, not all of them gave him money for washing their cars but they soon started giving him when they knew he was consistent and received value for their money. This was how he operated an informal car wash without an office with multiple streams of income. He confided in me whilst thanking me that he makes over N55,000 a month by washing cars (which is not his job) to augment the N15,000 salary he earns as a Gate man-Entry receptionist officer! Money is not obtained by magic or wishful thinking, it is a reward of thinkers who can solve problems. Use your brain! Learn what people want, then provide it in order to succeed. Discover a market, a need, a problem, and then provide a good or a service in order to succeed. Too many people do this the other way around. They develop a good or a service and then try to market it, try to manufacture desire. You’ll have more success if you see a desire and then try to meet it. A working knowledge is more important than capital in the success paradigm. Lack of capital is a common excuse for lazy people for not starting any business venture. You often hear lazy Alaininkanse people saying: You need money to make money, but really all you need is your brain! Have a workable idea and prosper! There are so many wealthy people who started with nothing but an idea! Don’t put yourself down, and don’t underrate the limitless opportunities that abound in your environment. See correctly! Pick the money from the streets, yes you can! Explore the best in what you have. Kill laziness before it kills you! You will succeed! Tosin Ayo, (The word bank).
