#LCCCreations #TheCollegian Lucknow Christian College -by Desmond Jonathan, B.A. (1971) The Inter #results being out, Caused a lot of debate, But at last I decided, From Christian College to graduate. The #college has indeed got a good name, Its buildings are one reason of its fame, Being a blend of Mughal & French architecture, The huge college buildings are a splendour. The results too, of this Colleges are grand, Few other college in comparison can stand The #teachers are men learned and wise, And studying under them needs no disguise, Every big undertaking has a small beginning, And so it was with our college so dear, The Rev. #Messmore planted the seedling. #1861 was that notable year. As through the gate of this college you enter, You will see a large lawn, a fountain at its cente, Right ahead, on the first floor, is the huge library. Stacked with #books of high quality & variety, To the right is the #Chapel & #Science blocks, To the left is the #Arts & #Commerce dominated by the clock. The various other #classes are scattered around, While the #offices, beneath the library are to be found. There are large playing fields & #tennis court, Where one may engage in a variety of sports, The spacious canteen with ita aroma so sweet, Where lads of various ages & stages one may meet. Then, there are #hostels, two in number, And comfortable quarters for a few teachers. These & a few others from the college buildings, #O! What progress since its humble beginning, But time moves on, and soon the day will come, When my days as a student in this college are done, But the period spent here I shall never #forget, O!
