LEGISLATIVE PRESS POOL (LEGISPOL) Capitol Building, Monrovia (Monrovia, Liberia June 25, 2013) for immediate Release A two day capacity building seminar for members of the Legislative Press Pool or LEGISPOL is expected to commence in Monrovia this Wednesday. LEGISPOL is an association of journalists from various media institutions covering the first branch of the Liberian government. The seminar according to a Press Release; will be held under the “Theme molding the minds for positive reportage” and it is in fulfillment of LEGISPOL’s constitutional mandate to ensure credible and balance reporting from the Legislature. The release said the Former chairman of the House’s committee on Executive during the 52nd Legislature Dr, Kettehkumeh Murray will serve as key note Speaker, While several others top officials of government including House Speaker Alex Tyler will serve as lecturers. Topics to be discussed at the Two days capacity building Seminar for the Legislative reporters include: “The power of the first branch of government, Legislative proceedings, the standing rules of the House of Representatives and the Liberian Senate as well as “The media and the Legislature from a Legislative perspective. LEGISPOL believes the two days upcoming seminar will serve added as an added advantage and opportunity to further enhance and build the capacity for its members.
