LESSON 101 to some of the unknowledgeable people in the pageant - TopicsExpress

LESSON 101 to some of the unknowledgeable people in the pageant industry who like to make comments on facebook, when in actual fact they are clearly not up to scratch on PAGEANT STANDARDS around the world! - Point number 1: - It is CUSTOMARY and a TRADITION AROUND THE WORLD for pageant contestants to do one or possibly more of the following when competing in a PROPER pageant: - a) Supply gifts for a charity auction. b) Exchange gifts with all the other contestants competing in the pageant. c) Supply gifts for the Judges, organiser or chaperones or all of the above. d) Supply gifts for various VIPs attending the function. Now in some cases, you are requested to supply a minimum of 100 gifts for a pageant and this is QUITE NORMAL. So PLEASE do NOT make RIDICULOUS comments on things you obviously have absolutely NO KNOWLEDGE about!! Get your FACTS STRAIGHT before trying to slander anyones way of running a pageant! You know who you are and believe me you can carry on trying to have a go at me, but you are actually making a fool of yourself. If people in the industry just wake up they will soon realise who the trouble makers are and I have finally figured out that you are the biggest trouble maker of them all. You often bad mouthed all the people you now appear to be big mates with to me, so that is when I realised you were two-faced! PAGEANTS SA runs our events according to INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS, not your local run of the mill pageant - so PLEASE - go and do your homework and become properly educated BEFORE you make silly comments again!! YES, I do request that contestants supply gifts to exchange as a token of appreciate to those that offer up their time to work tirelessly at a competition - to make sure that the competition runs according to schedule and smoothly and if anyone does not like this PLEASE feel free NOT to enter if you feel this is a problem. If you cannot cope with INTERNATIONAL standards here in South Africa, please dont ever consider going to an International pageant where you do need to adhere to a certain code of ethics! We endorse these ethics here in SA to make sure that we educate our pageant contestants in what to expect if they are ever fortunate enough to do an International competition! If you cannot freely give of yourself or your time and energy in creating your own special gift for someone to show appreciation then pageantry is definitely not for you!
