LET US DEAL WISELY WITH THEM... TEXT: EXODUS 1:10 Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land. Come on, let us deal wisely with them... This is the most potent and convincing conclusion of the devil and his cohorts in this time and age. The devil had never come to any body in his true nature and he would not start it with us: he would always come innocently, unnoticed, tactically, masking himself and appearing as the angel of light. He does not sleep: because he is a spirit! When and while men sleep, he is busy sowing his own seed. He was before any of us and he has more experience and conquests than any mortal that ever lived. He has succeeded in deceiving men greater in power and righteousness than we are. His mode of operation toward the saints, is to wisely and cunningly deal with them. He sets traps and snares, hiding them under the green pasture and the still water Psalm 23:2 His bait or decoy are things that our hearts itch for.It takes great sensitivity to apprehend or overcome the shenanigans of this old and cruel foe of all men. To sight an instance would be useful in this meditation. We must know that there are only two things that scares the devil and any other things related or germane to those two things. Any other activities that do not have a bearing with those two things are but mare background noise. What are those two things then? First on the list is the glorification of Jesus and the salvation of men. These are the meat or essence of any ministry. Any ministry or life that is devoid of these ingredients, has actually lost touch with God. Infact, such ministry is dead already: there may still physical structures, name, invitations to preach beyond the shores and a cosy environment for such ministry or minister, but the truth is that such ministry or minister has become hollow, the essence has gone unnoticed. The enemy is not scared of our posters, banners and our fine faces on the billboard! It does not move him if we undertake to build 50000 sitter capacity auditorium. Chilled and cozy hall, with a very well decorated alter would not scare him. Whatever can make us relaxed and losen our hold on mission, he would not fight it. He would not fight our financial breakthroughs so far as it would make us indulgent, indolent, and dissipating. He would allow us to have all kind of domestic gadgets that makes for comfortability so as to keep us negligent about these two imperatives. If the devil can use even church activities to keep us away from mission, he has suceeded. Many ministries no longer give attention to mission again...men of God are more interested in traveling abroad to preach than to set up mission base in their home towns or villages: as if the white man soul is more important than the black man soul. This is a subtilty of the devil, he is dealing with us wisely. Every denomination now wants to own schools and universities: these are good projects; however, they have a way of dragging a servant of Gods attention from mission. Our call is to make disciples of all nations. I see a quiet ploy of the enemy here: when a priest degenerates into being a school administrator or propritor! When a servant of God is seeing entangled with the affairs of this life. All that comes around such man see him as a business man not a man of God again. This is silent but killing! Let us think this through and long! Are there not souls again to be won? Why is the church of today more interested in upgrading mens mind and intellect than the salvation of their souls? If our schools are part of the gospel, why are they so expensive, so expensive that it is only the rich who can afford it. So we see sons of the capitalist making the larger population of the school. HEAR THIS: WHATEVER THE LEAST OF THE SAINTS CANNOT AFFORD DOES NOT STREAM FROM CALVARY. If our schools are from Calvary, then they should be affordable. Jesus is not expensive, for whosoever come to Him, He would not cast out! Jesus is the word of God: so when a preacher shares the word of God, he is sharing or giving Jesus to his audience. If then Jesus can be given to men so freely, how come we made earthly matter so and more expensive. This is hypocrisy: for If God ...spared not his own Son(the word), but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Rom. 8:32 What about our present prevalent massages of breakthrough? Business seminars, financial conference and all kinds of gathering cooked up to make the saints look away from mission to money. Money is very useful and good: but believe me, in the next ten years, if our messages do not experience a transformation, true biblical Christianity would fade off. This is happening already. Core and real teachers of the word of God are scarce: all that we have now are motivational speakers. Let us deal wisely with them! So said and concluded by our enemy! Looking at the present state of the church, comparing it to the prescription of the scripture, one cannot but hold that there is serious shift from the original plan of God for the church, which is mission and discipleship. The church is busy raising miliniare instead of disciples. The devil would never be moved by this kind of church, why? Because she does not have the core substance of mission, evangelism and discipleship. Finally, a lot of believers fast and pray hard for many weeks just for comfort in this life but are not aware that the author of Christianity did not yearn for such thing: He suffered to bring us this faith. What about men that came after Him? Mission and evangelism marked them out! The Acts of the apostles was an Act indeed because of mission. Take it or leave it, the enemy is dealing with us wisely..I think he is outwitting us...his stratagem is working! This calls for sobriety! How then do we pin him down and set ourselves free from his ploy? If you are with me on this matter, follow me diligently! To be continued?
