LET US PRAY by Yomi Ademuwagun DAY FOUR - THE STING OF SIN SCRIPTURE: “"The multitude of your sacrifices— what are they to me?" says the LORD. "I have more than enough of burnt offerings, of rams and the fat of fattened animals; I have no pleasure in the blood of bulls and lambs and goats. When you come to appear before me, who has asked this of you, this trampling of my courts? Stop bringing meaningless offerings! Your incense is detestable to me. New Moons, Sabbaths and convocations— I cannot bear your evil assemblies. Your New Moon festivals and your appointed feasts my soul hates. They have become a burden to me; I am weary of bearing them. When you spread out your hands in prayer, I will hide my eyes from you; even if you offer many prayers, I will not listen. Your hands are full of blood; wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight! Stop doing wrong, learn to do right! Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow. "Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best from the land; but if you resist and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword." For the mouth of the LORD has spoken. ” – Isaiah 1:11-20 MESSAGE: Beloved, though it was God who asked the Israelites to offer sacrifices to Him, however, because of their sins, the sacrifices became meaningless before God and He asked them, to “stop bringing meaningless offerings” to Him. Because of their sins, God no longer had pleasure in their sacrifices and services. Beloved, until you settle the sin question, your thanksgiving, praise, worship, gifts, tithes, offerings and services have no value to God. Habakkuk 1:13 says concerning God, “Your eyes are too pure to look on evil; you cannot tolerate wrong.” Beloved, if these 70 days spiritual exercise must not go in vain, you must settle the sin question by confessing all your sins and repenting from them. You must stop committing sins and you must never return to them. You should ask the Lord Jesus Christ to forgive all your sins and empower you to sin no more. PRAYERS: 1. Use Psalm 51 to pray for the forgiveness of all your sins as you verbally confess them. 2. Lord Jesus, let the mercy in your blood answer for all my sins. 3. Lord, set me free from every judgment and condemnation. 4. Lord, touch the heart of everyone I have offended. Let them forgive and release me. 5. Lord Jesus, destroy every power of attorney that Satan, the accuser, has over me. 6. Lord Jesus, liberate me from every ancestral and generational sin. IN JESUS NAME I PRAY – AMEN!
