LETS LEARN FROM RWANDA After the 1994 Genocide in Rwanda, The Government abolished ethnicity. There is no Hutu nor Tutsi. Everyone is a Rwandan. I advocate that Ethnicity and Tribalism be banned in Nigeria. It should not come into play in our socio-politico-Economic life. Everyone should be seen as a Nigerian with rights to live freely, pursue happiness and participate in the socio-political activities of any part of the country he may choose to live. We can’t talk about building a united Nigeria, a new nation that will be a global contender, while still clinging to the old ethnic, religious and regional stereotypes and fault lines that do us no good. I am a Nigerian Igbo Man. I am from Abia State, born, bread and buttered in Enugu State and I should have a right to vote and to be voted for in Governorship elections in Enugu. This Statement applies also to an Ilorin man who has lived almost all his life in Kano. Join hands lets make Nigeria Better! Lets build a strong Nation not strong tribes.
