LIFE ON OUR NUT FARM – AFTERNOON with KENNY It was a Glorious day here on Whidbey Island, eighty degrees, clear blue skies, a gentle breeze. Michael made fresh Zucchini muffins prior to going to work, delicious as usual! He picked raspberries and pears, sliced them and served together. I Love this time of year! I worked on art until mid-day, and went to pick up my ninety-three year old father, Kenny. Our pedicure day, he was ready to go! Of course, his favorite, the foot and leg massage! Afterwards, we went to our favorite “trailer restaurant” in local parking lot, Bubba’s Burgers! Kenny had a big hamburger, oozing with sauces, onions, and cheese. I had fish and homemade potato chips, we both enjoyed! Next, a couple errands and back to his apartment at the assisted living facility. Back home Our Pets were ready for some fun! We played in the yard; the Puppy Girls, Josephine, Frances, and Marie live for the rope toy toss! They bark with equal gusto for me to hurry up and toss it again…, again…, and again… The Puppy Girls helped me water Our Front Yard entry and then time for me to work in the office.
