LIFE ON OUR NUT FARM – SUNDAY FAMILY FUN Adrienne made banana muffins for breakfast, at 4:30 AM when she awoke…Dublin time! The rest of us, up a few hours later, and we all enjoyed her baked goods! As promised on last night’s FB post, here is the rest of our Sunday! Granddaughter’s Nicole and Roslyn finished the movie, “Frozen” while Michael and I had work in the office. Roslyn, a bit slow to “warm up” to people, is now in love with her Grandpa Michael! She watched, fascinated as he put on his gear, preparing for work. Both girls hugged and kissed him goodbye and we prepared for our first project. Out to the front porch, we filled up little containers with potting soil, to plant Sunflower seeds. Nicole transplanted four Japanese Maple tree volunteers from the garden to small pots. Roslyn, with a pair of my chartreuse garden gloves, that matched her outfit, moved dirt between containers. “I help!” and “I cute!” are two of her favorite sentences! Finished, on to the next, Nicole worked on designs for her first sewing project! She selected fabrics from my design wall and sketched her ideas. It is a special gift for her sister Roslyn! Nicole also draped a small metal dress form, with SWEET DREAMS ROSLYN by M’Liss - Grandma fabric. Nicole placed the fabric around as if a pro designing a garment. She and her mother Jamie, watch the television show, Project Runway! Soon, Adrienne went grocery shopping and picked up her grandfather (my father) Kenny from his assisted living facility. They were so happy to see each other! After Roslyn’s naptime, Alexander and Jamie arrived as well! It was one big group hug! Swimming next on the list, and I told you about that last night! Of course, all Our Pets were in and out throughout the day. Roslyn loves to help with the Puppies (all the dogs are Puppies) especially feeding them. She knows their names, and places bowls in front of each of them. We had Chinese take out for dinner, except for clearing the table, (usually covered with fabric and projects) it was an easy dinner. Everyone enjoyed the meal, although, we missed Michael as usual. There was plenty of food left for him and he was grateful after a long challenging day. When I was taking Kenny home, I heard and then saw a police car racing by, to another emergency. Ironically, it was Michael; I knew he would be late. It was a great day and I look forward to many more! I wish you all the Best! With Love from Our Nut Farm.
