| LIFESTYLE FAMILY VIDEOGRAPHY - POPPY | Hey yall! Im here this arvie to invite you to watch the second of my introductory short films (link to video is in the first comment). This short film is also a bit of a personal project for me, as it tells the story of one afternoon spent with my kids great-grandfather Poppy. We shot this on Wednesday last week, and then yesterday he headed off to Townsville for radiation treatment and chemotherapy. Like so many other Australians he not only lost his wife to cancer six years ago, but he now is also fighting his own battle against the illness. You can see glimpses of Nanna in this film, as her presence still resides in their home .... in her garden, in the photos on the walls, in her sixty-year-old thin wedding band that Poppy still carries around in his wallet. I think when you love someone for that long they never really leave you when they are gone. And I couldnt make a short film for Poppy without Nanna having her presence honored too. I cried while creating his short film, and I really hope it makes him smile while he is away from home for the next two weeks.
