LIKE OUR PAGE FOR ALL BID OPPORTUNITIES SHARE WITH CONTRACTOR FRIENDS NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Sealed bids will be received in the office of the Village Clerk, 98 East 3rd Street, Manteno, Illinois, 60950 until 2:00 PM on June 11, 2014 for the VILLAGE PLAZA AND PARKING RESURFACING (BID PACKAGES 1 & 2) projects located at Main and First Streets in Manteno, Illinois. The work in Bid Package 1 includes concrete curb and gutter installation, full depth pavement construction and repair, asphalt mill and overlay, and installation of pavement markings. The work in Bid Package 2 includes concrete curb and sidewalk work, installation of stamped concrete, limestone clad concrete planters and fountain, flag pole, custom signage, reconfigured site lighting with new fixtures, landscaping, and miscellaneous plumbing work. The contractor shall not pay less than prevailing wages to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing the work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820ILCS 130/1-12) All bidders must be pre-qualified with the Village of Manteno prior to submitting a bid. Bidders must meet the following criteria to be pre-qualified. 1. Must have completed a minimum of two projects in the past five years of similar size and scope, each valued at $500,000 or more, 2. Must have completed a minimum of $50,000.00 of stamped concrete work in the past five years, 3. General contractor must perform a minimum of 51 percent of the work. Contractors who have been pre-qualified or who have worked on a Village project in the last five years will be considered pre-qualified. Pre-qualification forms may be obtained from the Village of Manteno, Office of the Village Clerk, 98 East Third Street, Manteno IL or by calling the Village Hall at (815) 929-4843. Pre-qualification forms will be received in the office of the Village Clerk until 11:00 AM on June 4, 2014. Copies of the drawings and specifications for this project may be obtained starting May 20, 2014 from the office of Kankakee Valley Digital Blueprints located at the Metro Centre 1137 E 5000n Rd. Suite D Bourbonnais, IL 60914 or the Office of the Village Clerk 98 East 3rd Street, Manteno, Illinois 60950 upon receipt of a nonrefundable deposit of $50.00 for each set of documents obtained. All proposals must be accompanied by a bank cashier’s check, certified check, or bid bond for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid. A performance bond in the amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the contract will be required. The “prevailing rate of wages” as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor shall apply to this project. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive technicalities.
