So, here it is- Its not an extract this time. Its a whole verse. ~Script 1- ~Verse 2. ~Cupids target~ Im a 90s kid. The Facebook thing became quite hugely popular after its release. I still remember it was then when my dad got my sister a laptop and a data connection. I had to go through a big deal of request to my sister to allow me to create an account on Facebook and i did succeed in creating one. Its a drug. It will consume your valuable resource time and wont even let you know. Back then, I was studing in class 9. My sister then went back to Calcutta to persuade her higher studies and I was left behind with a Facebook account with no data connection or any device to access my account. Time went by and a year passed and ultimately my class 10 boards got over. At that time the smartphone fever was slowly taking over our new generation. I urged to get a smartphone. So, I gathered enough courage and straight away approached my dad - Baba, I need a smartphone. He gave me a cold stare for some moments but ultimately got me one. It was a Blackberry Curve 9220. You probably know that feeling of using your own smartphone. Then I contributed my bit in increasing Facebooks wages. Back then i had a best friend. Her name was Ritu Sharma. We were real buddies. She was a genius. She was a topper and a nerd. Friends used to think we loved each other but we were just the best of friends. Anyways we always ignored commentors. I and Ritu always used to have fights and arguments over petty issues. One such fight is the reason why im writing this piece. If that fight wouldnt have taken place, life would have been much different, I would have been different. Anyway, everything happens for a reason. This fight ended up with a sarcastic step by Ritu. She unfriended me on Facebook. As I said this Facebook thing has influenced us to an extreme level. It striked my ego. I couldnt figure out what to do. Out of anger I started going through Ritus profile and dont know why I clicked on her friend list and was going through it. And then i saw someone. I saw her for the first time, though virtually, she looked amazing. She was probably wearing a pink coloured frock or something and sitting on a chair in front of a study table. That was all in her profile pic. She was beautiful. Even now she is. Still today, i never fail to complement her, no matter what. I suddenly stopped scrolling and clicked on the link of her profile. Her surname showed Jain. Her name - Avantika Jain. Seemed like i was Cupids target and i was ready to fall as a target. I clicked on the ~Add Friend~ button, closed the browser window and started the countdown for her to accept my friend request. Two days later it was 25th April, 2013. I logged in to my account on Facebook and was going through posts and intentionally clicked on the refresh button and noticed that i got a notification, I clicked on it. It read - Avantika Jain accepted your friend request. Write on her wall.
