LIlly update. Just back from Fitzpatrick referrals, we were so very worried as she seemed to have become much more lame and in a lot of pain however the news is mainly good. The pain is an inflamed tendon, which at this stage is a fairly common complication, not good but not as bad as I thought personally. She is on pain meds for this and they also did a kind of sonic zapping procedure that should help with this and aid speed up the recovery. Her bone is knitting and growing back where it was cut away and all of the plates and screws are in place and where they still should be! Another 6 weeks of careful lead only walks and building up her walk time over the next few weeks by 5mins per week, no stairs or squirrel chasing for the next couple of months but all in all a LOT better than I had been thinking thank goodness. Perhaps I will sleep a little better at night now :) Thanks so much to all of my lovely friends who have supported us and helped out. Much appreciated xxxxx
