LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAP Though this alliterative idiomatic expression is commonly spoken among people all over the world, as well as in the Christendom and its meaning well known, but only few ever take their time to meditate on it and judiciously apply if in every facets of their lives. As a true believer, who is waiting for the second coming of Christ, you must be careful in everything you do whether in the church, at home, offices, when alone or in the public. you must look before you leap into any decision, career, action, reaction, etc to see if they are acceptable before the almighty God (especially in our action and reaction to situations be swift to hear but slow to speakJam. 1:19). Therefore, as heavenly minded Christians, let us learn to weigh any decision, thought, step, career, etc with the word of God, especially that most pressing, interesting, mind blowing, well payed off one of them. and always ask if Jesus will nod His head in agreement with that choice you are making. if not drop it! more so, if you ever want to make any decision, choose a career, carry out an action or react to any situation under any circumstances, as a child of God make sure they are true, honest, just, pure, lovely (in Gods sight),and of good report (phil. 4:8).when these virtues are contained in any thing you want to do, they will be acceptable and pleasing to the Almighty God. conclusively, know that anything you do whether in the secret or open and if they good or bad will be brought to judgment. therefore let us not be like the heathen who only do what will favour them without caring if Gods name is glorified. dont forget that before you can make it to the kingdom of God your righteousness must exceed that of the scribes and Pharisees and you gaining the whole world is not a guarantee that your soul is secured. before thinking about anything, taking any decision, carrying out an action or reacting to any situation under any circumstance always dont forget to PUT THE KINGDOM OF GOD FIRST (matt. 6:33, 1 phil. 4:20-30, 1 John 3:1-3) live rapturably!
