*** LOOKING FOR A RUNNING PARTNER ?*** A volunteer writes: Cola reminds me of a fashion model, elegant, long, tall and super thin although healthy looking. There is no doubt about her gender..She is all girl, dressed beautifully in a spotless cow print coat. Cola was left into our care because of the NYCHA ban. Her former owners describe her as a friendly and very energetic female who lived with other dogs. She would prefer dogs her size and gets very excited when she is with children who must be fueling her natural mercurial temperament. Cola would be house trained which we could verify. Cola bolted out of her den as I opened her door. She has a lot of pent up energy and a kennel is definitively not her cup of tea. A stay in the yard will do her some good. Cola jumps very high, she is panting and does not settle. She leaps after a tennis ball and catches it each time. She is anxious and the scorching heat does not help. Still, after a good half hour free in a pen, Cola relaxes a bit. She even sits on command and takes treats very nicely from my hand. She comes when I call her and gives me enthusiastic kisses. She welcomes other dogs her size, coming to our gate. Cola is now tired, just like me…She lays down in front of me, all spread like a skinny frog. She is so adorable. I love her smile. She seems happier.. That is our goal for the day. Cola is at the Manhattan Care Center. She is a beautiful girl, friendly, sociable, bubbly and bouncy who needs an active master and most likely as suggested by her former owners, a home without smaller pets. Given that restriction, Cola, I think will make a most awesome and loving forever best friend.
