LPRC, BYC Decide Championship By Augustus Audekina-Doe The Liberia Football Association (LFA)-Cellom GSM sponsored National League will be climaxed on Friday, March 21, 2014 with the last round of matches at various venues across the country. The eye catching fixtures on the last day of the season are the pairings involving LISCR FC and reigning champions Barrack Young Controller (BYC) at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS), while LPRC Oilers face Watanga FC. BYC need a win against LISCR FC at the ATS to surpass LPRC Oilers, now praying for a miracle while wanting to achieve a win against Watanga FC at the Nancy B. Doe Sports Stadium in Kakata, Margibi County. A loss for BYC will place them in a tough situation if the outcome of LPRC Oilers against Watanga is a win. It means both teams will tie on points but to be decided on goal difference. Currently, BYC are seated three points ahead of LPRC Oilers at the top of the table and the last three points will confirm them as double champions even if LPRC Oilers stage a win at Watanga FC. Mighty Blue Angels, set to go down to the second division next season, look set to make life really difficult for Invincible Eleven (IE) at the Unification Town soccer ground. In other day’s matches, Keitrace FC will welcome home MC Breweries in Harbel, as relegation threatened Ganta Black Star will battle NPA Anchors at the Blue Field in the PHP Community to determine their fate within the league and at D. Tweh Field, the Church Boys of Jubilee FC will sort things out with Red Lions FC. Because the LFA is not certain as to which side will win on the final day, the giant size trophy will be kept at the LFA headquarters and presented to the 2013 Champions at a later date.
