LUCKY - A0970352 @ the Manhattan NY High-Kill Shelter A volunteer writes: Lucky looks more mature than his stated age but indeed, he is a young dog, only three years of age. He was relinquished into our care as his owners were moving to a place not allowing dogs. Gorgeous Lucky was well cared for although he is quite overweight. He wears a beautiful, silky and well groomed coat. His eyes are chestnut in color and crystal clear. He lived in harmony with cats but would bark at dogs. He is said to be housetrained, well behaved and friendly to strangers and tolerant of children. Not a surprise, he lived in a childless household.. Lucky was quite shy upon arrival, uncomfortable too. He flinched slightly when I petted him. Not anymore. He clearly looks happy to see me when I stop by his kennel. He is so ready for a walk. Waking Lucky is a break in my day at the care center. He is calm and well mannered, sits on command and comes right away when I call him. He sits by my side like her was my own pet and waits for caresses and comforting words. He has such a great smile then. Lucky is a nice dog, beautiful too, friendly and yearning for human love and company. Come to the Manhattan Care Center, meet our boy, fall in love and take him home as your forever best friend. https://facebook/photo.php?fbid=634579786554904&set=a.617938651552351.1073741868.152876678058553&type=3&theater
