LUCMAN THROWS VICTORY FETE Monib "Ronquello" Abbas For winning in last May 13 elections as regional vice governor of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM), Haroun Al-Rashid Alonto Lucman Jr. threw a thanks-giving party to friends, relatives and supporters in his residence at Moncado Kadingilan, Marawi City on June 23. Lucman, ARMM secretary for local governments and the interior before running for the number two post in the region, won against five other candidates. He ran as running-mate of ARMM-OIC Regional Governor Mujiv Hataman under the ticket of the administration’s Liberal Party. Hataman, too, won the top regional executive post against Pax Mangudadatu, Nur Misuari and Yusoph Buyog Mama. Lucman is son of the late Congressman Rashid Lucman and former Lanao del Sur provincial Governor Princess Tarhata Alonto Lucman. He is married to Bae Omaima Macaraya Lucman, daughter of the late Atty. Tocod D. Macaraya, father of the Organic Act that created the ARMM. RANAO TIMES
