LUGANO DEVELOPMENT BIRNEY HILL – SITE VISIT AND PUBLIC MEETING A site visit to Birney Hill Farm will take place on the 7th October 12.15 pm. County Councillors from the Planning Committee will look at the site and deliberate. No questions or talking to these councillors is allowed. We want to show the level of support in Ponteland for our GREEN BELT. We can do this by as many objectors to the Lugano plans as possible gathering at the junction of Western Way/Stamfordham Road in silent protest, with numbers of protest signs and banners which we will hand out. Please join us! Park on Western Way or walk if possible to avoid congestion Now for the MUST ATTEND event. A Public Meeting will take place on Wednesday 9th October at 6pm at the Ponteland High School, Dining Hall. A high turnout is essential. PONTELAND NEEDS YOU! Who will attend from the Council? The Case Officer for this planning application and the Councillors from the West Area Planning Committee. The applicant will also be invited to be present. The proceedings will be chaired by the Chairman of the Committee The Case Officer has requested through the Green Belt Group To enable the maximum to be gained by all parties at this event any advanced warning of the questions likely to be raised at the Public Meeting. This would allow NCC to invite the appropriate consultee to be present (eg Highway Engineers, Flood Risk Expert, Airport Planner) This would allow for a fuller answer to be given to the residents. The Greenbelt Group have agreed to accept questions and pass them on to the Case Officer to arrange for a suitable answer to be given at the meeting. If you are aware now, that you wish to raise a question/s please use the Greenbelt Website contact tab and leave your question. pontelandgreenbelt.co.uk or drop a note into 93 Cheviot View Ponteland or Ring and leave a message on 01661 822517 Please come and show your support This will be the only opportunity for the community to give the Committee members their views Surely 4,300 registered objections can’t be wrong ! Remember once the Green Belt has been given up it is gone forever !
