LWMC PRESENTS FORUM ON “SPORTS MEDICINE FOR MOTHERS” Lake Wales, FL – The Center for Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation at Lake Wales Medical Center will hold a free forum on “Sports Medicine for Mothers” on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at Lake Wales High School. This program will be presented by Louis Greenwald, PT, a licensed physical therapist at Lake Wales Medical Center. Greenwald, who has been involved in sports physical therapy at the pro, college, high school and youth league levels, will discuss common sports injuries, how to avoid them, how to treat them, and when to seek professional treatment. The program is specifically designed to educate parents about treatment of some of the most common sports injuries among school-age athletes. Greenwald currently serves as the team physical therapist for the Lake Wales High School football team, and is a consultant to the athletic training program at Warner University. Parents of all middle school and high school student athletes (from any school) are invited to attend. Pizza will be served in the high school cafeteria beginning at 5 p.m., and the program starts at 6 p.m. in the auditorium. There is no cost to attend, but tickets are required for the pizza dinner.
