##Label GMOs Arizona terminates Initiative, in order to support efforts of group in Phoenix pushing GMO bill in late September.## Label GMOs Arizona filed an Initiative calling for the mandatory labeling of foods that contain Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) in early June, and circulated the initiative publicly starting July 1st, at Sky bar during a concert and Farmer’s market, until August 20th, 2013. Information on the organization that will be circulating the continued labeling bill is currently undisclosed. But, there has been on going direct and indirect communications between the Label GMOs Arizona and the Phoenix group. The group in Phoenix that will be pushing the continued Initiative to label GMOs has assured Label GMOs Arizona that they would begin in late September. For the sake of preventing voter confusion, Label GMOs Arizona Steering Committee has decided to withdraw the Initiative on August 20th, 2013. Label GMOs Arizona will still act as a source for honest information in total support of any group or person that wishes for GMOs to be labeled in the state of Arizona, or the planet earth. Chairman of Label GMOs Arizona, Jon McLane, will be stepping away from campaigning to focus on a long awaited Federal court ruling against the City of Tucson for Civil Rights violations. Treasurer, Nicolas Guillermo, will continue to work with Activism Truth one of the groups that was helping push labeling in California and Arizona, as well as other issues, and will be the sole current contact for Label GMOs Arizona. All other members of the Steering Committee will act in full support of the group in Phoenix that will ensure voters have the ability to vote on GMO labeling.
