Ladies...How often do you step on the scales? Is it every hour? Every day? Once a week? Four times every day starting with T? So thats Tuesday, Thursday, Today and Tomorrow 😉!! Whatever it is, do you ever consider things like; what youve eaten, when youve eaten, if youve trained, when youve trained, how hydrated you are, if youre constipated, if youre holding water, if youre gradually putting on a little bit of muscle as you lose fat or if theres a guy behind you stepping on the back?? 😂 Ok, the last one is unlikely unless Im around (I once convinced a guy I worked with hed put on a stone in a few days. Watching him walk away in disbelief was priceless.) but the point Im making is that your body weight is simply a number that changes constantly throughout each day. It can be a good marker of progress if used correctly, dont get me wrong but how you look, feel and perform as well as how your clothes fit and body measurements change is a more accurate way of determining how youre moving forwards. Body fat and muscle % will also give you a good idea as long as you keep the conditions the same. By all means weigh yourself every fortnight or so to see how youre doing but dont get hung up on that number. Dont obsess over every pound. Go to the toilet..youll lose a pound (or maybe even a few). Drink a litre of water, youll gain over 2 pounds!! Forcing that number down by not drinking water, going on naked, not eating or whatever else DOESNT make you look any different in the long run and it doesnt make progress any easier. Womens bodies are slow to change but itll come together in the end. Be consistent, be patient and trust your body.
