Ladies and Gentlemen. Nearly two years ago, SPF 5000 Rob - TopicsExpress

Ladies and Gentlemen. Nearly two years ago, SPF 5000 Rob Phillips Sean Roberts Daymeyn Maurice Nicholas Rhodes and The Sleepover Party met in Brooklyn to discuss the possibilities. We came home, inspired, knowing wed have to work very very hard to please an already very hungry audience. Its been a long ride, full of adventures and even mishaps, but today, the new EP, is ALIVE!!!!!!!! Shes ALIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE!!!!!!! Like Gene Wilder as Dr. Frederick Frankenstein in Young Frankenstein, my eyes are WIDE! WIDE WITH EXCITEMENT! This EP is dedicated to Boston. Most notably, the city of Somerville, where we were inspired, and made all of the EP. I want to say how much I love Rob and Daymo my #whiskycult brethren, my family. I think this EP pretty much says everything we were experiencing in the last two years, multiple visits to my home city to do shows, and hang out and intermingle with a lot of very cool people, one of them most notably is Tim Wagner, my now partner in Sunrise Highway. It speaks of rides up and down Highland and Somerville Avenues high as kites, bumping our music like it was Soundview at 2AM or something. SPFs music is the result of a hybrid of lives formed in the Tri State Area of NYC (all of us are from NYC and Dirty Jersey), and then our new lives in our home city of Boston. Boston Nights, the drives post nights at Mmmmavens Make It New over the Charles Street Bridge to Back Bay, where Id start opening the back windows of Robs car and start singing Ethel Merman numbers at the top of my lungs just to watch the confused faces on the streets. Nights spent sitting on The Polynesian Porch plotting our next moves. SPF 5000 you see, was merely phase one of the experiment. We have a LOT more youre about to see, and a lot more to show. This EP would also not be possible if not for the inspiration that Michael Marotta and the pill boston held for us, both as attendees and performers, you could say that Michaels personal taste held more than one card in what served as inspiration for this EP. Marcus Dowling, our favorite writer, our mentor, (and for me a whole lot more, but more on that at another time), we thank you for always seeing what we did as YES. And of course, NickyDigital himself, who created Knight Time Records basically to see if this crazy experiment would work. I sit in a hotel room in Providence, RI right now, filled with pride, filled with excitement. Im getting high. Ive got a glass of champagne in one hand, and Im about to get massaged from head to toe. I love you all. I love you Boston. I love every single person who has supported our efforts. This is our gift to you. iTunes link: go.nickydigital/i4a Soundcloud link: soundcloud/knight-time-records/sets/take-my-picture-ep
