Ladies and Gentlemen of NEW YORK STATE! SHARE THIS!! THESE despite other old wives tales, is the only venomous spider in New York. Its called the Yellow Sac Spider.. We have seen them around our home, and in other places. This is the kind of spider I was bitten by 10 years ago on my shin, and still have a dip in my shin over the bone because of the damage it did to the tissue in my leg! SO BEWARE! I was just reading about a type of black widow spider that is all over the united states, including ny.
