Lady Gaga, Tony Bennett, Aloe Blacc & Foofighters Play Private Show On thursday night, Lady Gaga & Tony Bennett performed at the same private event as the Foo Fighters and Gaga, who is a huge fan, posted a stellar review of their performance on her Instagram. She wrote: “The Foo Fighters were so incredible tonight, monster fury rock ‘n’ roll, 20 years of locked precision. Can’t stop screaming, almost took my pants off! Gaga and Foo Fighters were both part of a private show for the William Morris Endeavor talent agency in Solana Beach, Calif. The Foo Fighters’ ‘monster fury rock n’ roll’ set is just the beginning of new activity for the band. They also performed in Los Angeles last night (Jan. 10) with a string of international dates set for this February. The rumors started swirling last thursday about a private party with a too-good-to-be-true lineup at the Belly Up. Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins was spotted walking int the venue from inside the band bus then other buses pulled up in front, filled with guests, walking in shadow of the marquee out front where all the bands acts were billed. And who was lucky enough to be invited? At this point only the hosts, the William Morris Endeavor Entertainment talent agency, and the folks at the Belly Up know for sure who those approximately 300-600 people were. No amount of arm-twisting by many San Diego music scene insiders was able to get them in the door, though we did learn that the sets were short, in the 20-minute to half-hour range.
