Lady Mavs vs Mill Creek Mustangs 11/21/2013 10:08am The 8th Grade Varsity faced Mill Creek last night and finished with a big 39-17 victory! The Lady Mavs played exceptionally well on the offensive end of the floor. Hailey Lovetinsky shot lights out, scoring 14 points, Camie Williams finished with 11, and Waddle, Miller, and Davis all finished with 4. It was a great team effort all around…. Way to go, Ladies! Last night the 8th grade J.V. Lady Mavericks hosted the Mill Creek Mustangs. The Lady Mavericks took a half to get warmed up as they went into halftime trailing 0-12. The Lady Mavericks played decent defense in the first half but they could not convert on the offensive end. In the second half the Lady Mavericks came out ready to play and within a 15 second period were able to cut Mill Creek’s lead in half 6-12. By the end of the 3rd quarter the Mustangs went back up by 10. As they have done all year the Lady Mavericks were not afraid of a challenge as they stepped up the defensive pressure yet again and held the Mustangs scoreless in the 4th quarter but the Lady Mavericks dug too deep of a hole early on and came up short 12-16. The Lady Mavericks will be back in action Thursday as they will continue to show up and play hard as they travel to Pioneer Ridge. On Tuesday, the 7th Grade Varsity Lady Mavericks fell to Mill Creek. It was their 2nd loss of the season. The girls played hard but just couldnt pull out a win. They play at home tonight against Pioneer Ridge Middle School. Hope to see everyone there cheering them on! The 7th Grade JV girls lost against Mill Creek on Tuesday. They will continue to play hard and hope to bounce back and try to find their next win against Pioneer Ridge.
