Lafayette Farmers Market @ the Horse Farm 8.10.2013 Open 8am til noon sometimes the closing times are extended depending on special events You can enter the Horse Farm from Johnston Street for parking. This was our second visit since the Market has started. It appeared that the vendors’ participating has doubled since our last visit. We stopped at Pasta a Mano to pick up mini lasagnas and ravioli. We shared a cup of lemonade while walking under the shade of the Oak Tree. We also purchased for a snack small pies 4 for $5. We had cherry, chocolate, fig and sweet potato. We will be going back for fig and sweet potato. The pie crust reminded us of how my great grandmother used to make hers. We visited our friend jewelry artist Ana with Jewel of Havana. Making the last of our rounds we stopped at Great Harvest Bread to pick up treats for later. If you ever get a chance, check out this great event on Saturday mornings. Let’s support our locally grown, made and created products.
