Lake Eland Mile 2013- Open Water swim proudly caters for disabled swimmers, very fitting indeed since the aim behind the lake eland mile swim is to raise funds for a development project run by Margate Swimming Club, to teach water safety /swimming to deaf and dumb children of St Martin de Pores school in Port Shepstone. We are proud of our Olympic and world class swimmers who entered along with all our other entrants for coming on board to support the event on this very worthy cause. There is no needed "qualification " necessary to enter to swim the lake eland mile. We appeal to all other swimmers to support our cause and enter to swim in the Lake Eland Mile 2013.
