Last Friday, the CCHS Fine Arts Department hosted guest musician David Tangamo, a native of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and current junior at West Liberty University. David shared his experiences with students about how he taught himself to play drums and piano in Africa as a child, and his passion for all kinds of music. Music is such a powerful thing, David said. It is the language that connects everyone from different cultures. David is a computer information systems major at WLU and plays keyboard for the marching band. He also plays for the local band Hit Play on occasion. David says he hopes to return to his country some day and open a music school. We thank Mrs. Molnar for arranging Davids visit to CCHS!
