Last Friday was so fun yall. I could hardly take it. First we had the return of our beautiful Host Mel Browne accompanied by her co-host Rahsaan Thomas. The line up was amazing. Keyboard Cathys feature was an interesting highlight that kept the audience captivated the entire five song set. Her playful style, her happy energy took us with her as she traveled peanut butter pathways to death by chocolate...,? You just had to be there to understand. Bamboozle loves Keyboard Cathy! We got surprised by a few Bamboozle newcomers. Anderson Gairhart stole the show with a magical, majestic three piece set. His triple threat combination of vocal, acoustic guitar and composition genius had the entire audience mesmerized..., and this is not an exaggeration in the lest. Brian Brown was unique and talented with his acoustic set. He used a mixed of chords, strums and picks while incorporating his own beat by tapping on his guitar..., creating his own little one man, one instrument band that had a very refreshing and invigorating effect. Be Constant was a another Bamboozle Open Mic newcomer who totally brought it. They had a very laid back retro soft soul vibe going along with a strong lyrical presence. Their voices go really good together. Riggs is a poet who is quickly coming up through the ranks here in this seasoned and great poetry scene of Tampa. He is a representative of the entertainment group; The Game. His style is dope flow with content to match. J. Alexander. What can I say about this poet that would truly capture the magnitude of his significance to this genre we call poetry. Truly a Great Modern Poet with a solid stage presence. His rhythm is paced and intentional. His subject matter is universal with just enough cynicism to keep you craving the next mental image.
