Last I checked: 1. bombing and slaughtering men, women and children in Gaza amounts to war crimes and a breach of the Geneva Conventions... 2. targeting a peoples water or electricity supply is a war crime... 3. targeting shelters like the UN school used as a shelter is a war crime. in a matter of days, over 8,000 Palestinians have been seriously injured and 1,200 killed in the indiscriminate obliteration of Gaza. Claiming that homes with children, and schools are human shields to protect missiles, in an effort to bypass the war crime claims is an insult to our intelligence and to humanity, and does not constitute a defense against such war crimes. A Familys home is its sanctuary. UN officials have stated clearly that they consider the bombing to constitute War crimes. So what are our representatives in Europe doing to take heed of the UN statements and to bring the war criminals in the Israeli Cabinet and Military to Justice? I fear the Rule of International Law is under siege as military intervention becomes more fascist by the hour, while Europe looks the other way, and treats Israeli war criminals with kid gloves. Are European Governments under the thumb of Tel Aviv, with its powerful contacts in the financial and banking world holding their economies to ransom? Why are they not speaking up? Why are they not imposing crippling sanctions on Israel?
