Last Monday, I wrote about having to spend an hour in an MRI - TopicsExpress

Last Monday, I wrote about having to spend an hour in an MRI machine to have my brain and cervical area of my neck scanned. I got the results today and they were disheartening. The brain scan revealed that I had suffered several TIAs (mini strokes), but they could not tell how old they were. The cervical scan showed that I had severe cases of spinal stenosis. In other words, the canal in the vertebrae through which my spinal cord passes was being impinged by the cartilage inside the vertebrae. This could be what is causing my bouts of unsteadiness and the muscle spasm between my right shoulder blade and spine. A copy is being sent to my neurosurgeon as I thought he had cleaned that out when he fused me from C1-T2 of my spine. I cannot wait to talk to him after he gets the report.
