Last Pre Season game tonight for the HAWKS, @ Oakland The Majority of the game will be back ups fighting for jobs, trying to make the cut of 53 players at 1PM Saturday. Heres a look at some players and battles to watch- QB- Tavaris Jackson seems set as the backup, but Terrelle Pryor should get plenty of playing time against the Raiders to present a case that he also deserves a roster spot.B.J. Danels might also play against the Raiders and seems a logical practice squad candidate,at least.Seattle as kept 3 QBs on its roster just once in Carrolls tenure. Receiver-Four receivers are locks-Harvin,Baldwin,Kearse,and Richadson. Ricard Lockette who has impressed with his special teams play, also seems to have a good hold on a spot. From there its not so clear. Bryan Walteris healthy again and could earn a spot with his return ability. Phil bates was a early camp standout.Complicating Matters is the status of Rookie Kevin Norwood, who has not played in the pre season due to a foot injury. Hes expected to be back next week and if so,would surely command a spot on the 53 man roster. Running Back- The News is that Christin Michael will not play versus Oakland after suffering a Hamstring injury Tuesday. The team also brought back Demitrius Bronsen on WED. to have more depth at tailback.A Big Question is wether seattle will keep 4 RBs,or 5. If its 4,Spencer Ware,A sixth RD pick in 2013,could be the Odd man out.But with Michael Injured,Ware should get a extended look against the Raiders. Tight End- Cooper Helfet appeared to be in good position for a spot if the team decided to keep 3 TEs. But he suffered a Knee injury against the Bears, and is likely out against the Raiders. Seattle could decide to go with just Zach Miller, and Luke Willson at TE. Offensive Line- Rookie Justin Britt has won the right tackle spot. The Seahawks though need to get Left Tackle Russell Okung back into rounded back into football shape, and to sort out the final spot or two. Defensive Line-Players whos fate might still be unclear include ends Benson Mayowa and Greg Scruggs and Tackle DAnthony Smith . Mayowa was a camp sensation in 2013,buthas fallen behind OBrien Schofield-one of the surprises of camp this yr,as a back up rush end. #GOHAWKS #7DAYSTILLKICKOFF2014 -Hawkin-
