Last Saturday I spent the day with the Knights of Columbus Womans Auxiliary ministry at St Peter Chanel Catholic church. We went to the VA nursing home for Veterans to visit with them and also to bring ice cream for a treat. Another ministry in our church makes small blankets and gave us enough to give each veteran a blanket. The most rewarding part of the visit was the conversations we had with many of them. They shared some of their experiences and just enjoyed the attention. There were two that were world war 11 veterans. We are trying to pay attention to our veterans who are coming home scarred from wars these days. That is important. Lets not forget those who are living memories of other wars. God Bless them.
