Last Saturday, Luxury Stranger played the official UK Bowie Convention for 2014 in Derby and as part of the show, LS had to throw in some Bowie songs done in their own style. As per usual, LS went one further and didnt just do a Bowie song (Ashes to Ashes) but they also covered two songs that Bowie has covered (a cover of a cover so to speak). One of those was Jacques Brels My Death (or La Mort), which was done as Simon on his own. The other was a song called Wild is the Wind by Dimitri Tiomkin and Ned Washington which was originally recorded by Johnny Mathis and has been covered by Bowie, Nina Simone, Clan of Xymox, Billy Mackenzie, and Bat for Lashes among many other successful artists.
