Last Sunday August 14, TSP members wore yellow (well most of us anyway) and followed a lovely meandering route that passed through the rustic towns at Rizals belly. Cainta, Taytay, Angono, Binangonan, Cardona, Morong, Baras were all visited before finally arriving at out destination, Tanay. There stood at a sliver of land the local Parola or lighthouse that serves as a beacon for the fisherfolk there. Last Sunday, it was our beacon as we were drawn to it irresistibly, wandering over winding roads, laboring over uphills and speeding down slopes to get to our final objective. At the tip of the pier of Tanay, which thrusts out well into Laguna de Bay, we inducted the new members into TSP and as soon as the ceremony was over the heavens celebrated with us by pelting us with pregnant raindrops. It rained most of the way as we clambered from Tanay to Antipolo via the near-vertical switchbacks of Teresa and as most of us reached Antipolo the sun came out to dry us and the roads a bit. We descended swifty towards Cainta and after a whole day of biking the ride was over, yet many of us still yearned for more. Thank you to our hosts, TSP T3 Peeps, ably led by Melchor A. Sarmiento abd Jojo Bagtas, you gave us a remarkable ride. Thank you all who participated, this was simply a ride not to be missed. Special thanks to 2 super TSPeeps, Jedae Daquigan and Ella Padayao, whose generosity knows no bounds as they manned a SAG vehicle (their own car), kept us stuffed with bananas and bread and hydrated with cool water. Thank you TSPeeps for a wonderful ride, lets do this again! :) Most photos taken by Ethel Fortuno
