Urban Lawyers & BLP vacation scheme ! •Email your cv to : [email protected] Get paid £275 P/w •Possibility of Training Contract Urban Lawyers in Conjunction with BLP (Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP) are looking to recruit at least two students onto each of our three summer vacation schemes. We would ask that applicants already meet our minimum academic requirements (AAB/340 UCAS points at A-Level and a 2.1 degree or on course for a 2.1 degree). We will screen the CV’s and then invite in the strongest candidates to attend an assessment centre with us. The assessment centre consists of a drafting exercise, a role play and a negotiation exercise. There will also be lunch provided and the students will meet a variety of trainees and firm representatives at BLP. The assessment centres run from 9.15am until 2.15pm at BLP, Adelaide House, London Bridge, London EC4R 9HA, UK. We are flexible to candidates that may not have reached the required UCAS points, but have shown their academic ability through the rest of their education, by obtaining a 1st from university and have good, relevant work experience. • If there are mitigating circumstances, as to the lower than required grades, applicants are still encouraged to apply but to put them on the application form. The successful candidates would then be offered a space on one of our summer vacation schemes (15-26 June, 6-17 July and 27 July-7 August 2015). Throughout the two week scheme they will sit in two different departments and have a trainee buddy for both weeks. There will be a variety of talks, presentations and social activities but overall we aim to ensure that the students have quality time in their departments so they can learn about what life is really like as a trainee at BLP. In the second week of the scheme, the students will have a training contract interview with two partners. If they are successful after the interview they will be offered a training contract. The students are paid £275 per week. #Diversity #Inclusion #UrbanLawyers #BLP
