Last day on the bike in Japan today. Darren Walker had a sore butt from a rash so didnt join me (who knows what he gets up to in his room at night!). Didnt head out til around 1.30pm and mapped myself a 102k loop with 2,000mtrs of climbing. 10 mins into the ride the heavens opened and it began to pour. Didnt matter too much as it was still warm. Had to adjust my course twice after coming across some major landslides. They looked pretty fresh as there were, what looked like engineers inspecting the damage. Much of todays ride took me along the side of this amazing river. Quiet roads once again. The main climb of the day was amazing. Not a single car on the way up or down. Pity it was wet as the descent would have been awesome in the dry! Then out for a traditional Japanese dinner with Dazz at 2 different places. After not much sleep last night Im hoping for a good night sleep before travelling back to Tokyo tomorrow for our last night in Japan. Its been a blast!
