Last night I had the distinct honour of being chosen to serve as the next President and Chief Executive Officer of the International Relations Students Association of McGill - IRSAM, a federally incorporated, not-for-profit, non-governmental organization that has a special consultative status with the United Nations Social and Economic Council. With over 250 paid members IRSAM is McGill Universitys largest student group. Some of IRSAMs activities include hosting SSUNS and McMUN (Canadas biggest and most prestigious Model UN conferences for the secondary and collegiate level respectively); sending our Model United Nations team to different collegiate institutes in the United States and Canada; publishing The McGill International Review; commit to volunteering projects locally and internationally; and attending commissions at the United Nations. I would also like to to take this chance to congratulate and welcome IRSAMs Board of Directors for 2014-2015: Muny Sidhu, our Vice President of Financial Affairs & Chief Financial Officer; Kaitlyn Bowman,our Vice President of Internal Operations; Joy Lizette Aguilar,our Vice Presidents of External Relations; Emmett Meacher, our Vice President of Delegations Affairs, Serena Wang, our Secretary-General of Secondary Schools United Nations Symposium (SSUNS) 2014; and Ryan Mitton, our Secretary-General of McMUN 2015. I cant wait to work with all of you next year! Congratulations again, I cant wait to work with you all next year!
