Last night Marcy and I were reading a bit about JRR Tolkiens obsessive building of languages. The writing of story was secondary to him. The whole point was the language construction, and for him, for that to be complete, he had to write the history/mythology of the people who spoke the language. Fascinating stuff. And Marcy said to me, that is the kind of brain you have. And we had this whole amazing discussion about how important it is for me to dive deep and to allow myself to fully be myself in this way. I resist. I think about diving in and I fear I will get lost. Marcy said, thats what I am for. I come and find you. The love of that overwhelms me. Yet I have these old, deep patterns of resisting, and today I am sitting with them...really feeling them for the toxins they are. And trying to understand how to flush them out, how to give into this brains needs, how to give into my true nature that I have been saying no to for so very long...
