Last night a lightning rod saved my life ... true story. I was finishing up my nightly bike ride when a major thunder storm met me on my way home. It was so bad that I had to pull over & take cover under a metal gazebo that was in a park along my path. I noticed lightning rods all over it so I felt safe. As soon as I got underneath it lightning struck the roof. I could feel the energy of it when it hit like a sudden burst of wind. The chances of lightning hitting that gazebo once I got underneath it were pretty rare so as soon as I got home, I drove to the gas station & bought 2 lottery tickets.. wish me luck.
