Last night after learning about the #ShawShooting Scotty and I had a great discussion about how we are raising a generation of youth resistant to authority. Parents can no longer be parents and discipline their children (most recently the case of Adrian Peterson) and police are now automatically questioned for doing their jobs. Personally, it seems likes like negative cycle where no one is willing to listen to, nor enforce authority. Marquetta beat the hell out of me, raised me respect authority and moreover to not be a dummy. Consequence is no coincidence and it seems that my generational peers seem to forget that. Consequence is also not a justification to immediately yell injustice. If I fire a weapon at someone, it should be expected they fire theirs. Until more facts emerge, I do NOT think we need to file this in the #MikeBrown category. And as a resident of the neighborhood this is a great place to live!
