Last night at about 8:15 a vehicle was eastbound on SD Highway 42 passing a tractor. As the vehicle was passing, the driver noticed oncoming traffic. The driver slowed down and attempted to pulled their vehicle back into their designated lane of travel and struck the tractor. The vehicle left the road and went into the south ditch. The driver and passengers were injured and taken to a local hospital by ambulance. The driver of the tractor was not injured. Everyone involved in the crash was wearing a seat belt. The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating. The Minnehaha County Sheriffs Department, McCook County Sheriffs Department, Minnehaha County Fire Department and Humboldt Ambulance assisted.
