Last night was fun, but hectic. To host, time keep, score, collect money, and play music in between poets is a daunting task, but I love it. I wish I could compete fully but I see a conflict and unfair advantage when hosting and competing in the same night. I would prefer to see a full sign up sheet, and Ill perform with guest musical guests, but until then I will find new and interesting ways to disqualify myself before anyone is eliminated from competition. I was so happy to see IllisIt Martin and Punahele Kūkailimoku Kanikapila get out of their comfort zone as emcees and slam. I am grateful and impressed, especially since you showed up even though you had another gig to hit later in the night. The show is growing and I have a wonderful circle of artists and supporters to thank.
