Last night we had the honor of paying our respects to our friend, our brother, our coworker. I can say that he was not just one of these but all, rolled into one amazing person. The sun may have set on you time spent here with us, but you will forever be with us. Each time we attend to one of our patients, we will remember the compassion and empathy you brought to each and ever person you treated, every time we discuss issues we will remember how you wanted to improve the working conditions and the relationship we have between us all, and each time we as paramedics need a friend, we will remember the shoulder that was always there. Saying goodbye is difficult for me, but I know you have left sunshine in my life. I wish I could express to not only bob, but to his family as well, how much I respected bob. We have argued on numerous occasions on topics as numerous as the laughter we shared. I knew that I could always count on him as my other point of view because thats what he was, it didnt matter how strongly I felt about something, he woukd open my eyes to another possibility. Thank you bob, you have touched us all.
