Last post of the evening I promise! This gorgeous watercolour would look very nice hanging in a country cottage somewhere ... Its thought to date 1935 and shows a garden in the height of summer with a pergola. I love how the sunlight and shadows have been depicted. Rather wish I was there right now, sitting on a bench and reading a book... The watercolour is signed C S G and the artist is thought to be Carol S Grey. I havent been able to trace her (possibly an amateur painter?) but a lovely picture all the same. Mount dim 34cm H x 25.5cm W. £28 (unframed).
