Last semester I had to do a research assignment/presentation on a topic of my choosing. I ended up doing mine on Samsara and its symbolism in a tv show as compared to the original buddhist beliefs. I have come to find value in what I found, and let me explain why. There are six realms (according to the belief) you can be reborn into depending on the karma you get in life, Some are realms of punishment for obtaining bad karma, and some are realms that you get put into because you had good karma. One of the realms is the human realm and can be one you are put into regardless of the karma you obtained, and your life will reflect that. The human realm is also said to be the easiest one to obtain nirvana through, because you have the chance to learn from other people, something unique to this realm. I have come to suffer a lot in this life. However, I think I have a very real chance of obtaining nirvana this time around, and stop having to be reincarnated. I found the people worth suffering for, and I found what I think my true purpose is for living. I have faced so many hardships, but at the end of my life, if I get to spend eternity with them, it would be worth it to this ancient soul of mine.
