Last week I hauled ass on a six mile run and beat time of an even 46 minutes, down to 43 minutes and 19 seconds. After doing that ive come to the conclusion of two things. One, is that there is no way in Hell I can beat that time( trust me, for my muscle mass, there isnt!). And two, more importantly, im ready to try and do that stupid run to Van Alstyne and back again. For that, its not about the time( although I will time it of course), its about the feeling. Ive done it twice, and felt defeated, ......even humbled. I cant allow that to stick. I know people think im a lifter and all this other stuff, but ive become more than that. I will do that very long run, one more time, on Independance Day. Then once Ive done it, Ill feel free of that stupid defeated feeling.
